Hypnotherapy to Stop Smoking
Quit smoking now
Smoking is a HABIT, and with Hypnotherapy we can change habits, so if there is a will then there is definitely a way to stop smoking!!. I bet you can conjure up many reasons and times when you feel the desire to smoke
– stressed
– anxious
– bored
– want to be like the others
– having a cup of tea or coffee
– having a meal or drink when you are out socially
– AND MANY, MANY MORE
CAN I GIVE UP????
Ask yourself these questions now-
-
-
- Did you miss smoking before you started?
- Did you ever consciously make the decision to smoke and not give up?
- Did you cope with everyday stresses and problems before you started smoking?
- If you were asked to put your hand in a pan of boiling water would you do it? (But you smoke don’t you and you know the risks and there is not even one element of goodness!!!)
- Did you put aside thousands and thousands of pounds to pay someone else for your habit?
-
SO YES YOU CAN
SMOKING AND ANXIETY
The British Journal Of Psychiatry has revealed their study of 500 smokers who stopped smoking with significant evidence that anxiety levels decreased when they quit smoking.
Additionally, the outcomes showed that there was a bigger decrease in those that had mood and anxiety disorders to those that smoked for pleasure.
This gives to reassurance for those that fear they may become more anxious upon quitting.
How Hypnotherapy at Absoluteu in Horsham helps
With hypnotherapy at AbsoluteU we can target those reasons and behaviours and realise new outcomes and changes.
A lot of the time you will find yourself smoking from a subconscious decision even though you may be aware on a conscious level of the health implications that may be caused to you and the fact that you want to stop. Hypnotherapy can help by communicating on both a conscious and subconscious level to redirect yourself in a new direction without those past behaviours.
Hypnotherapy has proven to be an effective method to stop smoking encompassing all factors involved such as the clients feelings regarding smoking and what might happen when they stop. Quite often the client feels that they are losing something by quitting as it has been a part of their life and understandably worry about what they might do to replace it. This is a huge misconception by the client as you do not need to replace smoking, and Hypnotherapy can help you adjust your thoughts and feelings accordingly.
The benefits of quitting show themselves quickly:
20 mins – Blood pressure and pulse return to normal
8 hours – Oxygen levels return to normal. Nicotine and carbon monoxide levels in blood reduce by half.
12 hours – Carbon monoxide levels in bood drop to normal levels.
24 hours – Carbon monoxide is eliminated from body and lungs begin to clear out mucous.
48 hours – No nicotine remains in the body and taste and smell improves significantly.
72 hours – Breathing becomes easier and bronchial tubes begin to relax and energy levels rise.
2-12 weeks – Circulation improves and lung function increases
3-9 months – Breathing problems improve and lung function is increased by 10%
12 months – Excess risk of coronary heart disease is reduced roughly by half and continues to reduce gradually
5 years – The risk of a heart attack falls to approxiamately half that of a smoker and the risk of a stroke becomes that of a non-smoker (5-15 years approx)
10 years – Risk of lung cancer reduces to about half that of a smoker
15 years – The risk of lung cancer reduces to nearly that of a non smoker and the risk of coronary disease reduces to the same as someone who has never smoked.
As a hypnotherapist I can help you explore the reasons and beliefs behind your behaviours and create a new successful path forward.
Together with the increase in price of tobacco and associated products what reason do you have not to quit now?
